Colour on a Rainy Day...

Such a drizzly day here in my part of London...So I decided to throw on some colour and make the best of the day. I have paired some thick camel treggings with a red drop jumper and my grey Zara coat.
I cannot, in any way, fault this bright red crop jumper. I have worn it three times, each time receiving compliments and I love it even more with every wear. Bright and vivid, warm and cosy and fashion forward all at once. It is a heavy knit and displays a variety of knitting patterns all over. The crop cut is relaxed and I can honestly say it is one of my favourite purchases of the month.
Thank you ASOS, once again!

Until next time,
Eve xx

Christmas OOTD

Hello guys,

Merry Christmas!!! It's been a minute or two since I did my last post and I can only apologise! Been so busy with all the festivities preparation!

My Outfit of the Day for December 25th:

Christmas Pattern Jumper from my beloved ASOS (which is now in the sale £24.50) and is absolutely gorgeous. It's made from a fine lightweight knit and is both warm and quite soft. The design is beautiful, featuring a mix of snowflakes xmas trees, reindeers and leaves. I adore the pattern and the variety of colours which makes the jumper stand out from a lot of the other jumpers that have been on sale this year. ASOS, you have done it again!
I paired the jumper with a Leather look Colour Block Skater Skirt . I then added some Cat Suspender tights and black stiletto boots.

For heading out, I threw on a ZARA Basic grey overcoat, which is warm but not too heavy and looks luxe but with an affordable price tag and added a grey faux fur collar (ASOS).

Happy Holidays everyone!
Until next time,
Eve xx

Rough Copy: Fashion Killers!

Hi Guys, I hope everyone is having a lovely day/evening.

So on my last post I promised that my next would be on the PVC trend. However..! Due to recent events I have decided to blog about the male fashion killers that are ROUGH COPY!

Now I'm sure I wasn't the only one to shed a little tear when they were voted off the show...but I am using the unfortunate event to turn into a blog about their fashion from day 1.

I'm sure most would agree that, from the outset they have been on top of the men's fashion game, rocking everything from rucksacks to skirts, from snapbacks to bow ties (and almost everything in between!).

They have brought 'urban fashion' to the forefront and to use the judges' words "Rough Copied it". Their first audition saw Sterling in a tied fabric/skort type combo with a white shirt and white OtherUK snapback. Joey wore his (soon to be) popular leather shorts and leggings (?) combo whilst Kaz played it relatively safe in the winning black on black combination.

As the competition evolved so did their fashion choices and the nation saw them become riskier and braver as the weeks went by.

Rough Copy have undoubtedly proved successful in displaying a variety of looks such as the blazers and bow ties in Big Band Week; and their all white urban looks in their Bryan Adams cover performance.
Rough Copy appear to not only have broken the mould, but reshaped it when it comes to 'urban' fashion and have shown influences from a number of sources.

Whilst Rough Copy may have been booted off the show early (according to opinion),  it is clear that their love affair with fashion is here to stay. They exhibit a fierce, fun and daring attitude to fashion which is both refreshing and exciting.

In other words, Rough Copy keep it up and we await to see what's in store! Fellas also keep an eye out for a possible 'Men in Skirts' craze hitting your nearest high street!

Until next time,
Eve xx

ASOS Social Media School

Hi Guys,

So as promised this post is about my recent visit to ASOS HQ!

Back in October, I received the VERY welcoming news that I had been accepted as an ASOS Insider...this meant I would have amazing opportunities such as attending events at the ASOS HQ. As a welcome gift, each insider received a personalised package and me being a teacher got some cute stationary and Rimmel Red Lipstick (Red Lips are my BFF) and a fortune cookie! I'm sure I can speak for all Insiders when I say I was TOUCHED!

I finally got my first opportunity to attend and it was as part of the Access All ASOS Social Media School!

Basically, it was GREAT!!!

The event was about using Social Media to your advantage. Whether it's for blogging, Tweeting your blog, creating a Facebook page for your brand, Snapchat, Instagram (and all the rest!); it was all about how to please your audience. We had a talk from Sedge Beswick, the Global Social Media Head at ASOS, Sedge told us stories of her time at various companies, which were both interesting and funny!

We also played Social Bingo AND had a Pub (type) quiz at the end! I also got to tour the ASOS HQ whilst they were shooting for the site.
There was some delicious food and drink...Sliders, Mini Fish & Chips and amazing Social Media Cupcakes!  I also won not one, but TWO prizes in the pub quiz...What more could a girl ask for???
Attending the ASOS HQ was overall an amazing experience and I can't wait to do it again! I also met the lovely bloggers Jessica (pictured in selfie with me), NikiEguono and Jessica!
Applications are currently re-open so if being an Insider sounds like it would float your boat, go for it!

Until next time,
Eve xx

Who am I?

Hello everyone, it's lovely to meet you!

My name is Genevieve, or to shorten it Eve. I'm a brand new blogger and in all honesty I'm a little confused and nervous as how to start my new blogging life! So I am just going to start by introducing myself...here it goes!

I'm Genevieve, a 20+ Londoner, who is by occupation a Science Teacher. A specialist in Chemistry, I'm qualified to teach 11-19 year olds in General Science (as well as my specialism).
I'm a science boffin, nerd, geek, whatever you want to call it. I LOVE SCIENCE. I'm aware many people are quite surprised when I tell them this but it's true...Science is one of my many passions and I am now teaching it to others.

So maybe you're wondering why I started this blog..? Well another love of mine is Clothes, Shoes, Accessories and in other words FASHION. YES, I know, another 'passion for fashion' type who has no background, no quals and no idea..?

You could say that...OR you could equally say, here's someone interesting who you might just enjoy taking the time to read her blog..? Either way, I'm going to be spending some of my spare time blogging, talking about a variety of things but focusing on the world of Fashion and Beauty...
My next post will be about my fortune of becoming an ASOS Insider and my visit to ASOS HQ's #SocialMediaSchool!

So without further ado...I introduce you to my fashionology lab, the world of me!

Enjoy, Share, Follow (social media below), Comment and await my next post!
